BW: Darlin’ you’re making me nervous. I’m not asking you to tell me anything illegal. If I’m not asking you to tell me anything illegal, why do you think I’m a cop?
Lexis: Yeah but I don’t know you like that. The police aren’t gonna pull up are they?
BW: No… Why would they? Just tell me what it was like growing up in Macon.
Lexis: Well… I had 12 brothers and sisters. None of them graduated. I’m the only one that got my G.E.D. I’m 26 years old now. I lived in Atlanta for a few years. And… I’m really fuckin’ paranoid sitting right here, having you record me like this.
BW: Honestly, if you don’t want to do this, it’s no big deal. I understand. Really.
Lexis: No! I’m doing it already now!
BW: Look, let’s just take some pictures. Maybe we’ll do better with that.
Lexis: You want to take them here? Like multiple pictures?
BW: Yeah, just like I told you when we first met. Nothing’s changed. Tell me a story and we’ll take a few pictures but it’s really OK if you’re not into it. I promise, I’m not trying to force you.
Lexis: OK… we can take some pictures I guess.
