BW: What was life like when you were a kid?
Myrtle: I ran track when I was going to school. I ran the mile. And I was good. Played basketball too.
BW: What did you want to be when you grew up?
Myrtle: A ballerina
BW: A ballerina?
Myrtle: *giggle* yeah, I love ballet and classical music.
BW: You never got a chance to be a ballerina?
Myrtle: No. never got a chance to finish running either. This hit me when I was 35 years old.
BW: You’ve been in a chair ever since?
Myrtle: Yes. I have MS… multiple sclerosis. Constant pain. I just have to deal with it.
