I met Tasha in her neighborhood and gave her a lift to the area where her daughter goes to school.
Tasha: My daughter got cancer 5 years ago. It really changed my life.
Tasha: I didn’t really care about much before that but it made me really value life.
BW: How’s she doing now?
Tasha: She’s good. She had to have two surgeries but she’s all good now.
BW: Good to hear. It seems like a long way to get from your place to your daughter’s school. How long does it take you to get there usually?
Tasha: It takes about 45 minutes to an hour on Marta.
BW: Why does she go to school so far away?
Tasha: I bring her over here because it’s the best school in the county.
