Jim: My brother was homeless. He was found under the Jefferson Davis bridge in Augusta, GA and he was killed sometime around February 15th. They aren’t sure of the exact date because he was found long after it happened. They couldn’t identify him other than his tattoo that he’d gotten in prison.
BW: What was your brother’s name?
BW: Huh… that’s my name. Were you and Brent close?
Jim: We were close when we were younger and off and on as adults. He was homeless for years. He would use the facilities where they have the Masters to clean up and stuff.
BW: So, was he was murdered?
Jim: Yeah, beat to death. They found DNA but can’t find a match.
BW: Do they know why he was murdered?
Jim: Drugs or revenge. He had plenty of enemies.
He was mentally ill, bipolar. He had a lot of trauma in his life. He had 2 friends die in the war and he came close to death himself.
